When you decide to become an independent agent, you will sign a contract with American Phone Services. After that you will have access to APS’ Agent website, which will allow you to retrieve all the documents and information you will need. Following is an easy and short explanation of what happens.
- You find a customer that is interested in using APS Telecom Services.
- The next step will be to sign up this customer. There are two ways you can do that:
- if you are meeting with this person, you fill out a form that you can retrieve form APS’ website and have the customer sign it and then fax it to APS’s office
- if you have this person on the phone, then you can make a phone call to a Telephone Service that will verify the data of the new customer
- At this point go back to the first step and repeat! You can also go online to APS’s website and check the status of the customers you signed up, check your commission and other details.
HOW DO YOU GET PAID?
You will soon start receiving a check every month with the commissions for the customers you signed up. Your commissions are a percentage of the invoiced traffic dollar amount for which the customer has already paid, i.e. if the customer does not pay his bill, you do not get paid your commissions.
